We were in Barcelona, Spain, when from January 30th to February 2nd, 2024, the Integrated Systems Europe trade fair, abbreviated as ISE, opened its doors once again. Since 2004, ISE has been held annually for four days and has steadily grown over the years. It has established as a fixed event in Barcelona and is considered the largest trade fair for audiovisual technologies and system integration worldwide. The 20th anniversary edition of the fair this year set several records: Over the four days of the fair, ISE recorded a total of 73,891 visitors from 162 countries with its 1408 exhibitors covering an area of 82,000 square meters, representing a 27% increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year.
PEAKnx was present at the KNX joint stand in Hall 2, and our managing director as well as our sales manager presented our building control solutions on site in Barcelona. Especially from Wednesday to Friday, our stand was well-attended by an international audience, and our two colleagues were busy demonstrating our products. They had many good conversations and networking opportunities with system integrators from, among others, Spain, France, Great Britain, Dubai, and Italy, as well as Sweden and the Netherlands. Our entire panel family was well received, especially the complete package including Windows panel, server, our visualisation YOUVI, IP router, and intercom. The possibility to implement other visualisations with our hardware was also well received. In addition to contacts with potential international customers, the two colleagues were also able to establish new industry contacts.
Our partner Airzone was also on site and presented, among other things, its Aidoo KNX gateway for air conditioning systems. It was also shown how air control in smart homes can be displayed and carried out via the YOUVI ventilation widget.
Dali, provider of audio solutions, with the brand Bluesound, as well as 2N were located within walking distance of the KNX stand and presented products that can be controlled via YOUVI in the smart home. Bluesound devices can be viewed through our visualisation and controlled throughout the house via the logic module. 2N, among other things, manufactures door intercom systems and presented its SIP-capable door stations on site at ISE, which can communicate with the visualisation via the door station module of YOUVI and turn our panels into intercom stations in the building.
We are pleased with the successful trade fair with new international contacts and are expected to participate again next year when ISE takes place in Barcelona from February 4th to 7th.
